100th Birthday of the Royal British Legion

Saturday 15th May marked the 100th Birthday of the Royal British Legion.

The RBL was founded by Earl Haig and Fred Lister as an ex-service organization for “the common cause”

To mark the occasion all branches of the RBL were asked to lay a wreath at 9 am on Saturday at their branch.


Elm Park RBL were pleased to join in this important centenary event.


The Chairman, Cllr Barry Mugglestone was joined by Rev Amanda Keighley and Father Tom Keeley the two Branch Vice Presidents, Joanne White the Poppy Appeal Organizer, Cllr Stephanie Nunn and a small group of members from the branch.
